Steel plates

A wide range of steel sheets is at your disposal: hot-rolled sheets (flat or trailed), cold-rolled sheets, Corten steel sheets and hot-dip galvanised sheets.

A custom project? Sheets can be cut, folded or cut (with a CNC plasma cutter).

Hot-rolled sheets

Hot-rolled sheets are crushed by heat and form the basis for other steel sheets. S235 JR+AR are in ample supply.

They can be cut and folded up to 10 mm thickness and 3 m length.
Cutting with the CNC plasma cutter can be done up to 50 mm thickness and 6 m length.

Dimensions and tolerances according to EN10051:2001 and EN10029:2010.

Hot-rolled trailed sheets

Hot-rolled trailed sheets in grade S235JR are mainly used as surfacing. The shape of the teardrop ensures safe walking on it and prevents slipping. This type of iron sheets is easy to weld and can be hot-dip galvanised if required.

Hot-rolled trailed sheets can be cut to size, folded or cut (with the CNC plasma cutter).

Quality according to EN10025 S235 JR+AR.

Cold-rolled sheets

Cold rolled sheets are manufactured by cold rolling hot rolled sheets. Sheets thinner than 1.5 mm cannot be manufactured in hot-rolled steel, so they have to be cold flattened again to the desired thickness.

These sheets can be cut to size, folded or cut with the CNC plasma cutter.

Quality according to EN1013 DC01, tolerances according to EN10131:2006.

Hot-dip galvanised sheets

Hot (or Sendzimir) galvanised sheets have an even and shiny appearance. They are hot-rolled sheets that are 'galvanised', i.e. provided with a zinc layer. This ensures that these sheets remain protected against rust(corrosion).

Hot-dip galvanised sheets can be cut to size and folded as well as cut with the CNC plasma cutter.

Quality according to EN10346 DX51D + Z275, tolerances according to EN10143:2006

Weather-resistant steel (Corten steel)

Corten steel or weathering steel can be recognised by its typical brown rust colour. Thanks to its high phosphorus content, the metal is excellently protected against weathering(corrosion).

CorTen A is used as cladding or planters, whereas CorTen B can be found in more demanding applications such as bridges or cranes.

CorTen steel sheets can be cut to size, folded or cut (with the CNC plasma cutter).

Quality according to EN 10204 S355J0WP

Calculate carrying capacity

In these tables you will find what the maximum allowable and uniformly distributed load capacity of the beam (S235) is expressed in kilograms.

These values apply to a beam that has been applied freely on both sides with the deadweight taken into account.
