Cutting plates
For every steel project, we cut sheets to size with a plate shear - an industrial machine that cuts quickly, accurately and precisely without damaging the material.
Which steel plates can you have cut?
We have two plate shears (also called cutting or impact shears) with which we cut plates to size. Depending on the type of steel, we can cut different thicknesses:
- For steel, we cut up to 10 mm thickness.
- Stainless steel (RVS) is harder and can be cut down to 5 mm thickness.
This cutting technique can be used for steel sheets with a maximum length of 3 metres.
